Dr. Pham Trung Luong, Deputy Director of the Institute NCPTDL emphasized: Pocket Guide ecotourism development in Vietnam was completed with the financial support of AECID and direct on TCDL expertise, the Institute R & D Vietnam Tourism and Sustainable Tourism Institute JSC Vietnam. This is a practical document for the management, eco-tourism operators to guide the method of construction, eco-tourism in Vietnam as well as improve their knowledge and professional skills and create favorable conditions for professional work.
The training focused content: Overview of eco-tourism and eco-tourism in Vietnam; Develop evaluation criteria system, recognition of eco-tourism in Vietnam; Process evaluation ecotourism; guide management activities in ecotourism. To be recognized as an eco-tourist destinations must meet all 42 required criteria and 17 or more points in the scoring criteria in the five groups of criteria including: resources, infrastructure, sustainable environmental management, products and services in the system evaluation criteria.
