Accordingly, the task of planning for the period 2013 – 2015 to develop towards expanding the scope of measurement and improve the standard measurement of 13 measurement standards have been approved, including 04 basic quantities (length , mass, time – frequency, temperature, thermodynamics) and 09 derived quantities (volume, volume flow of liquids, gases, hardness, pressure …) and at the same time, investment development of new measurement standards 12 countries including 03 basic quantities (current intensity, luminous intensity, the amount of) and 09 derived quantities (fluid density, AC voltage …).

In the period 2016 – 2020, focused investment plan to develop 20 new national measurement standards of the derived quantities, including flat angle, liquid volume flow, air velocity, force, torque capacity, density solids, pH, humidity, inductance, capacitance …

Ministry of Science and Technology is responsible for coordination with other ministries and agencies to organize the contents of the plan.
