According to Fast , FIPA is an agreement to promote and protect Canadian investment abroad and foreign investment in Canada through legally binding provisions , respectively , can reduce discrimination and do more to strengthen the trust of investors . He said : “The Government of Canada has committed to ensuring that Canada’s investments will be protected in the global market . And that is why we have carried out the FIPA signed with 18 countries around the world since 2006 and is actively promoting negotiations with other countries . ”

FIPA between Canada and Serbia will officially take effect after the two sides complete the ratification process in the country . Regional investment potential in Serbia industries including mining and resources , energy production , infrastructure, transport and agriculture food .
